NOTES

  1. unmarried?
  2. burial record for an Ellin Illerea on 5th December 1636 has the notation "infant" which is likely to be a transcription error when copying an earlier burial register
  3. seems to have siblings & half-siblings with surname Mylrea and Cowley, signifying that her mother Alice Gawn had remarried a Cowley
  4. The mention of "dollough" suggests that she could be a relative of John de Dollough who died in 1638. Best guess is John was her cousin
  5. In 1643 a Thomas Cowley composed the Dollough lands because the heir at law (William) was under age, so possibly Thomas, Ellyn's half brother, took responsibility for the well being of the young sons of both the Dollough Mylreas and the Ballacooiley Mylreas when, although he was no blood relative, they were underage, their fathers were dead, and the land needed to be formally "composed"
  6. According to her brother's will, Margaret Corlett was his sister (and therefore Ellyn's as well)
